Legendary Nashville producer and musician T Bone Burnett gathered an all-star cast of musicians to benefit the art education initiatives of The Participant Foundation, a non-profit organization that uses media for social change, last year. The evening, which was held at New York City's Beacon Theater last October, featured performances by such greats as Greg Allman, John Mellencamp, Elton John, Elvis Costello and Jeff Bridges.

Since the fight for funding for arts education is unfortunately not one that has been won yet, Burnett has teamed up with Shout! Factory to release a compilation of performances from the night, called T Bone Burnett Presents: The Speaking Clock Revue that will also benefit The Participant Foundation. It's set for release on October 18th. [via Paste]
