Princess Sofia of Sweden was not afraid to suit up and go to the hospital to help on the front lines of the Coronavirus pandemic. She is the Honorary Chair of the Sophiahemmet Hospital but decided to take her involvement to the next level. The hospital confirmed that Sofia completed an intense program online to become certified to work at the hospital, and began working in April 2020. She is assisting the doctors and nurses but does not have direct contact with patients who have contracted the virus.

She completed her basic nursing education and was able to step in to help the overworked staff at the hospital in Stockholm that the Swedish royal family has supported since 1884. Princess Sofia shared a photo on her Instagram while working at the hospital, sharing, "Within the framework of the 'emergency response,' I am now placed in one of the hospital's care units where, together with other newly trained colleagues, I support and relieve the care staff with various tasks, including care of patients and cleaning." She's also helping in emergency hospitals that have been overwhelmed with patients. The Royal Court is very proud!
