In April 2020, actress and fashion designer Mary-Kate Olsen tried to file for divorce from her husband Olivier Sarkozy, but he courthouses were closed due to the Coronavirus. According to People, the former Full House actress attempted to file again in May 2020, under claims that it was an emergency. Olsen was denied the second time.

Olsen and Sarkozy have been married since 2015, and live together in a New York City apartment. Olsen claims that Sarkozy is kicking her out of the apartment in the middle of the Coronavirus, when she has no resources to get her belongings moved out and find a new home. According to her statement, she's concerned about her belongings, having a home to live in, and her well-being. But at least she doesn't have to worry about her wealth.

Olsen has an incredible net worth of $250 million, earned through her fashion lines and her acting career. Her soon-to-be-ex-husband is also a wealthy man (he's the half-brother to former French President Nicolas Sarkozy) with a net worth of $70 million. However, Olsen wisely signed a prenup to avoid any major assets being argued over in a possible divorce preceding. Olsen is hoping the courts open up soon so she can start the legal process of filing for divorce.
