Fort Wayne, Indiana (USA) is not a city known for its power metal. Since 2005, however, Zephaniah has taken it upon themselves to change that. Disinterested in the repetitive sound of the death metal and hardcore bands in the area, Zephaniah focused on introducing a new style of music to the Midwest scene, drawing inspiration from bands such as Manowar, Symphony X, and a variety of European power metal acts. A fairly young band (members aged 19-24), Zephaniah is making a name in the region and creating a lasting impression among fans.
With the release of their latest album, aptly titled "Stories from the Book of Metal," Zephaniah has claimed a stake in the hearts of their fans with stories of pirates, battle, and the power of metal. Combining elements of power, progressive, and neo-classical metal, Zephaniah brings forth a unique sound, filled with tightly-woven guitar harmonies and solos, speed-metal drumming, and strong vocal melodies.
Zephaniah's undeniable skill and fan loyalty is garnering attention from the press both locally and in the online metal community. The group was recently interviewed and featured in The Fort Wayne Reader, Whatzup Magazine, and the Metal Covenant webzine (www.metalcovenant.com), with more to come. With each highly energetic performance, these five young men continue to gain admiration from their fans and respect from fellow bands. A highly self-motivated group, Zephaniah is driven by their music and has no intention of slowing down.

:: CD REVIEWS ::
"American Power Metal is alive and.... well, thriving in the Mid-West...This quintent of musical skill and technology fondly fight for their love of fantasy and history. They present the listener with a vibrant pallette of artistic melodies, sear shredding diatribes, and a harrowing choir of the damned." - Metal Covenant (8/10)
"The music here is earnest as well as being very well written and performed, and as far as I can see it, Zephaniah really has no particularly glaring flaws in anything their doing. That's a pretty great accomplishment for a self-released debut album." - Metal Archives (87%)
