Fresh out of the deep heart of Texas, comes a band of seven young men with a fierce hunger for a real, genuine, vehement rock and roll; a hunger that can be seen clearly on stage, as they loose their lion-hearted passions, mauling the senses of their unsuspecting audience. They call themselves, Zap Em Dead Bartholomew, and while their name may sound playful, this band is not to be taken lightly.
After winning their high school's battle of the bands, at the close of their senior year in 2007, the septet went on to record their Piano Fingers EP, which has won them a considerably large following in their hometown of Houston, and across the state of Texas. Having shared the stage with such acts as Showbread, Stick To Your Guns, Still Remains, Endwell, Blessthefall, Gwen Stacy, Secret &Whisper, Emarosa, Catherine, As Blood Runs Black, and the Medic Droid, their vigor and intensity seem to only grow more and more with each performance.
Their sound could be compared to pre-Cove Reber-Saosin or Alexisonfire, but the truth is that this band is trailblazing a new blend of punk and hardcore that sets them apart even more than their on-stage intensity.
As they are going through the final processes of completing their very first full-length compilation, named Until We Have Faces, this zealous group of honest musicians hasn’t even gotten started yet. Be on the look-out for this band in months to come as they rampage their way through the nation.
