Constructed on the framework of Midwest Metal and Pabst Blue Ribbon, Shoot the Moon has been rocking Iowa like a hurricane since the release of their debut 4 song EP â€œMass Murder Somedayâ€, recorded at 660 Studios in the spring of â€˜09.

Shoot the Moons musical energy translates from CD to stage at every show. Innovatively mixing brutality and melody to create their own special sauce, tentatively called â€œbrutalodyâ€. Quality feedback among the scene put STM on the stage with Iowaâ€™s best. Opening for acts like Mindrite, Marcato, Index Case, Facecage and regional acts like Seasons After, Screaming Mechanical Brain, Throw the Fight and At the Left Hand of God. A growing fan base now has Shoot the Moon on the same stage with National Acts like Emmure, Atilla, Oceano, Destrophy, and Chelsea Grin.

Building on their success, Shoot the Moon went back into the 660 Studios in the Summer of 2010 to prove they are here to stay. Releasing their crushing follow-up 5 song EP â€œT-Minus Ballerâ€ in the Fall only affirmed those beliefs. New songs like â€œYoko Zunaâ€ show how the band has advanced technically as musicians while staying true to their melodic roots with songs like â€œJason Waterfallsâ€.

â€œLets give em something to talk about.â€ Words of wisdom by Bonnie Raitt, and a mantra that Shoot the Moon lives by. Come be a part of something.
