Wretched Religion is a death metal band from the suburbs of Indianapolis, Indiana. Though only being a band for just over a year, the band has a considerably large following.

Formed in late 2004 by founding members Will Grimes and Vanessa Echeverria, Wretched Religion represents the stuff mommy and daddy wouldnt tell you about. With twisted lyrics by Will, relentless rhythm riffing by Seth, and blistering leads by Will, the gutars chew you up and spit your carcass out. Vanessa's drumming is virtuous. And Jason's basslines are genius.

The lyrics of Wretched Religion come from the sick, twisted mind of William S. Grimes, aka "Cujo". When looking back, he believes the root of his twisted lyrics, he goes back to March 2005. He wrote "The End" the afternoon before his father died, and just recalling the preceding 4 years is enough for him to go nuts lyrically. As for his lead guitar work, he was a born shredder.....literally. He is entirely self taught. But what he may lack in technicality, he makes up for in creativity, showmanship, and raw emotion. He can play faster than most metalheads can only imagine being able to play.

The percussive beats of the Religion come from Vanessa Echeverria. Will's best friend in the world, and non-familial sister. She took percussion in band class for 4 years and counting, and is unstoppable behind the set. She loves her fans, as they love her. She is by no means shy and will take on anything, or anyone. She has a soft spot for animals, funny? If you think it is then fuck you.

Rhythm Guitarist Seth True is incredibly technical in his playing style. He does things very precisely, while Will is crazier and sloppier. His rhythm playing is vital to the band's scraping riff sound, and is very talented. He is one of the last members to have joined WR, but one of the most important.

The band's bass player is Jason. He is the youngest member of the band. He is also the last one to join. He is an extremely talented. He can play anything probably. We don't know if he even likes this music. But he can play it.
