Wretched Hive's home, within the confines of a mind filled with angst and disgust for half-truths in this egotistical society. A volatile mix of modern metal elements and anger is meshed to deliver the contemporary metallic fury.
Deriving its name from the result of life gone astray, The Negative Effect was W.H.s first full-length release. Recorded with B. Lonestar on guitars and vocals along side the musical talent of friends and studio musicians. The CD hit the streets; a live band was assembled, and followed with gigs in support of the do it your-self album. A loyal fan following and buzz grows as W.H. begins to re-write what metal should be.
In its basic form W.H. was a one-man gang musical outlet, but with the addition of Jerry K. on lead vocals, 2008 and beyond will prove to be W.H.s time. Currently, the live band is relocating to Florida and a new drummer is in rehearsal to to back the upcoming CD, Rare Moments Of Hope.
There will eight songs on the Rare Moments Of Hope album. Recording is being done at Winterland Studios in Minneapolis, Mn. A summer 09 release date is anticipated. Regional live dates, a national winter tour and promotional campaign are in the works.
The eight well-crafted songs, in comparison to the older material, are more raw, straightforward structures, with no fucking around. Jerrys lyric writing and natural talent as a frontman combined with first-class songwriting and musicianship sets this set of songs apart from the metal pack.
Wretched Hive's music is like getting the life choked out of you but still being able to catch that one last breath over and over. Rare Moments Of Hope is going to give listeners all the more reason to clench their fist and scream Fuck Yeah!!!
