Without Johnny was started in September of 2004. Kurt Sommerville and Ben Joseph teamed up with a couple of former Fez members, Eric Weedman and Eric Henriksen to form this group of talented musicians. It was a slow start, just playing some covers and having a good time. For a brief period they were that ultimate party band, but more recently they have been writing new music and playing a couple shows here and there.
Something was still missing though. So they added a lead singer Brandon Runyon and it all seemed to fit. Eric Weedman however had a couple loose ends to tie and joined the Marines to help with tying them. So with Eric gone Ben moved over to bass, and they brought in Chad Bell to handle guitar.
With rhythmic speed drumming from Eric, steady bass from Ben, piercing vocals from Brandon, along with the Melodic and Cutting guitar from Kurt and Chad. There is now Without Johnny!
Kurt is also the Current drummer for Fez
