"Our main goal is to have fun" a phrase you will often hear from members of the brand new Atlanta band, Winter Ransom. Born from the ashes of former Universal recording artists, [minus.driver], and former Atlanta hardcore band, Fold; Winter Ransom is the result of four long-time friendships. When asked about the band, guitarist, Joshua Longino replied, "It's all about getting together on Thursdays to write songs we like, jam hard, and drink a few beers. It's a great way for four buddies to hang out."

Although having fun is the key to the band's unique energy, don't expect silly drinking songs or light-hearted pop tunes. Also, Winter Ransom is a departure of the sounds of the band members' previous outings. What you can expect from the band are intelligent, melodic, and heart-felt indie rock songs. The experience from years of playing and the overall growth of each band member is displayed in their song writing and also through their live shows. "A lot of people were amazed at our first show, they thought we had been playing together for years."
