Being a true one man band solo artist and Mozart like virtuoso, and after being in numerous bands over the years, David Evenskaas started the band Seven Angels back in late 2006, writing, playing, and Producing in his own studio, all 5 instruments, including singing. Following in the footsteps of one of his biggest role models, solo artist Aaron Gillespie, the Drummer/Singer from Underoath. David truly proves where there is a will, there is a way. Barely making enough money to pay bills at just $8 per hour, David found extra work doing odd jobs here and there. Needing to buy additional music equipment back in 2007, David would go almost 2 weeks on $60 after the equipment expense. Those were pretty difficult times. I had just started a brand new job, which was probably the most difficult overworking, underpaying job imaginable. Ask me and I will tell you. It was a time where pride, faith, and emotional integrity were all put to the test. To keep myself motivated musically I would make collages of all the equipment I needed. And as the months went by, piece by piece, the equipment on the collage would manifest in my studio, says David. With more than lacksidasy, non-committed band members, who made no contribution, David kept up the one man band struggle and emerged with a full, professional, unique sound all his own that can truly appeal to fans of all types in the alternative and hardcore rock world.
