Following momentum from a tour with Sanctus Real, main-stage festival appearances with The Newsboys, Relient K, and Switchfoot, international tour dates, and a national radio single on Sirius Satellite Radio and AOL Radio, WILLET is ready to share its story.
Combining melodic vocals with heavy guitar sounds and symphonic studio production, the three brothers from Westminster, MD (Jeremy, Justin and Jordan Willet) make up the rock band that is changing lives around the world. Willet tours internationally full time, performing over 200 dates per year at venues around the world. Through WILLET'S concerts, a message of hope for Africa is portrayed through a partnership with Food For the Hungry's child sponsorship program.
Over the past 5 years, over 800 children have been sponsored through WILLETâS participation with child sponsorship. In 2007, the band adopted the village of Zeway, Ethiopia, and completed a 10-day trip with a film crew to the village. In 2009, the band is leading a trip of 10 people back to the village of Zeway while also adopting its second village in Ethiopia called Belo.
Jeremy, Justin and Jordan grew up in a Christian home taking piano lessons from their father, which resulted in expanding to other instruments such as bass, drums and guitar. Being that the Willet brothers have always shared a close relationship both musically, and relationally, they pursued a vision to help kids all over the world.
WILLET can be compared to the sounds of Blindside, Project 86 and Chevelle.
WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING:
âJeremy, Justin and Jordan are mature well beyond their years. Their Christ-like demeanors and spiritual maturity is indicative of their walk with our Lord. I am honored to work with them and blest by their representation of our organization.â - Jeff Miller (Food For the Hungry)
âHi, my name is Mark Graalman. I am the drummer for EMI recording artist Sanctus Real. WILLET is an incredible band with great songs and amazing stage energy.â -Mark Graalman (SANCTUS REAL)
âWillet- One of the hardest working independent bands on the Christian scene. Solid band and always on the road.â -Tim (Truth Drums)
"Willet is a band that promotes caring and empathy for humanity. The music is a great way to encourage young people to help others who are less fortunate." - Patricia Levroney (Carroll County Public Schools)
âStaff and patients alike were delighted with the crisp clean sound of Willet. Their dedication to volunteer to help those hurting was deeply appreciated by all.â - Thomas Otten (Avera McKennan Hospital & University Health Center)
"Our young men and women in placement had an encounter with WILLET when they came through on a mid-west tour. The court places all the youth in our program, and many have experienced severe abuse and neglect - they were mesmerized by the message and the music. I describe these men of God as "speaking tenderly, playing loudly.â They are "rockers" and ministers of the Truth with equal intensity and skill. The relational connection was amazing - they are the definition of "earning the right to be heard" among this distanced generation." -Teresa Mora (Eagle Village Residential Treatment and Family Services)
