Glorious return from ex-Cortizone bloke. This is a strong start for a band who if they play it right, have a bright future ahead. KKKK - Kerrang
'This is balls to the wall proper rock & roll! It's blistering stuff and it rocks in all the right places - XFMs Eddy Temple Morris
When Gravity Fails are a 5 piece London based band, formed by Nick Emery, ex bassist / co-songwriter in Cortizone, who released one hugely rated album - Selling Out For The Sucker - on Virgin Records in 2001 and toured with the likes of Tool, Paradise Lost and The Mission, before imploding in 2003.
Through the usual network of acquaintances and small ads in the music papers, he teamed
up with vocalist / keyboard player Ivan Fegen, guitarists Alex Mackie and Dave Penney
and drummer Darren Bullis.
When Gravity Fails released their highly acclaimed debut album on their own Astro:Nought Recordings label in February 2006, distributed in the UK by Cargo. The self titled album was produced by the band and mixed by John Mitchell (Funeral For A Friend, The Blueprint).
The track Headlight was recently chosen by Coke Music to feature on their first compilation album of unsigned UK acts and was picked by XFMs Eddy Temple Morris for their podcast.
Bruce Dickinson likes the album so much he has already invited the band in for an interview on his BBC Radio Rock show and Black Sabbaths Tony Iommi voted the band one of the top two unsigned UK rock bands on his Planet Rock Radio show.
The album has had wide ranging radio play in the UK on XFM, Kerrang, BBC amongst others and received a great response from the rock press.
When Gravity Fails are constantly out rocking the live UK scene and are currently writing for their next album.
