The Background

Hey My names Kyle and well i started this band. I play Guitar and are the main Vocalist of the Band, I hope you enjoy. Well the bands background. i grew up listening to The Calling, i dont know if you've ever heard of them but they sing the famous song Wherever You will go, this song was the start of me wanting to produce music. I got onstage last year and sang infront of about 200 people singing that song, dont sound that many people but it was really scary. Now a year later i play Guitar and i sing a little, my voice aint too good, needs a lot more practising but i do try. My mission is just for people to enjoy my music, hear people singign to my lyrics would be amazing. This band specialises in punk and pop mainly because i based the band on the calling and i listen to a lot of punk music, e.g. Taking Back Sunday, Linkin Park, Simple Plan, Fatkid Dodgeball, HelloGoodbye, Senses Fail, All American Rejects which all can be found on purevolume. Lyrics are the most important part of song, i like to make the lyrics as nice as possible, i like to make people think about them and compare them to their own experiences. As for the other band members, David is my cousin so weve been friends for ages. i grew up with John at a age 5 and upwards and as for Teddy and Damien i met them a couple of years ago while having a kick around. Hello, my name is David and i am providing the backing vocals and i also play the electric guitar for the band. I enjoy singing any different types of songs, even though i am not that good, i can and probably will improve as time goes on. I really enjoy a lot of different artists, they all inspire me to sing my heart out for what i believe in. Some of these include Savage Garden, Meatloaf, The Calling, Jesse McCartney, Fatkid Dodgeball and many more. I did the same competition as Kyle last year and sang Meatloaf- Bat Out Of Hell in front of 200 people, and believe me and Kyle when we say this, the first time you go on stage and sing in front of an audience, no matter how many people, it is very daunting, but it has helped me and i guess i will have to get used to it, hopefully. I listen to music to inspire me to achieve who i want to become as i said before, and different types of music give me a real passion to fulfil my life goals and in achieving making this band up from scratch, i give thanks to all of the band members and all its fans for helping us become a band and hopefully we will become recognised within time. AS for the other band members, i have been friends with John since i was in playgroup (those were the days), and i have known kyle all my life because we are cousins which also gives great significance to me being in the band. As i would say the same as kyle, the other two band members are Teddy and Damien, and i know they are good friends as well as band members so i know we will all rock as a band and i think this is going to be an amazing journey for all of us, and i hope everyone enjoys the music we produce for you all, Thank You!!!!

My favourite Band 'The Calling' aint on purevolume so i decided to make a tribute album to them. Songs like Wherever you will go, anything, adrianne, things will go my way and one by one are on this site. Enjoy!!
