HO HO HO MERRRRRRRRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!! This a special Christmas blog from us at We Were Ghosts. Currently, we are working on two new songs and polishing up nicely so that they tickle your fancy. Hmm, lets see now... ahh yes, I am currently working on an official mixdown of the current song that is posted on our website of "No Smoke, Just Fire." so hang on there kiddies and keep checking for the official version to be posted. The current mix that is up there now is courtesy of Timmy Riley over at Fredonia. I will also be working on our song "Alice", for those of you who don't know this song, be ready for a wild ride!!!! So keep your eyes and ears open for that one to be posted in the coming weeks.
I do believe we have a show on Jan. 19th in Kingston at Keegan Ales. For anybody in that area, come check us out!! Will be a good time. There might be some shows coming up in February as well. So be on the look out as we learn more and pass the info to you.
I do believe that is it for now. i think I heard Santa landing on my roof so I better pretend I'm asleep so that I get that new keyboard i always wanted. Haha. Oh and those of you who are awake now...GO TO SLEEP CAUSE WE WERE GHO...I mean Santa's coming to town!!!!

What's up guys?
Let's see...what to talk about since it is my first time blogging not only on this particular blog but any myspace in general...yes, I'm a newb :-P
Over the last few weeks we've been working on some new tunes that Adrien and Harry have brought to the band, both of which are very different. I think you'll dig both once we get them finalized, recorded, and then eventually to you guys in the months to come. Adrien's is short, funky, and very catchy, while Harry's is darker, ambient, and more experimental, and one that is really going to center around the keyboards. That will be great since Harry came into the band after most of the songs we have written to this point were finalized, so there hasn't been much "musical space" for him to work with.
That's one thing I have to say I love about this band and the music we play. The guys always laugh at me when I say this, but I think it really rings true..."There's something for everyone in our music."
If you like good catchy pop rock tunes, we gots that.
If you like hard rock/metal, we have a little of that.
If you like progressive rock, the arrangements, the odd meter times, the instrumental sections..we gots that too.
If you like to get a little funky wid it sometimes...guess what? We gots some of dat.
If you like guitar and keyboard solos (I know...it's a sin to have that in pop music...but we do it anyway, b/c it's wayyyyyy tooo much fun :-P), well we definitely gots that covered...
If you like spacey, ambient textures...yup..check!
If you like jazz and da bluez..stay tuned...we got some stuff in the works ;-)
If you haven't seen us incorporate a particular style into our music, stay tuned, b/c you never know what you are gonna get!
The only thing you DO know you're going to get, is some seriously kick ass music that always makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside and that you just can't get out of your head!
Ok, I think that's enough for you kiddies for one week.
Hope you're all digging the new tune up there!

So, its about that time for our monday morning blog. I have had a great night, filled with music, drinks, shots, and good beer (as well as good company). It seems like time goes by so fast when your surrounded by good people. Imagine if your whole life, u had only your friends and good music following you wherever you go. It'd be like those commercials where u wake up and a whole chorus is just singing your name, and that you rule! So beyond that, I have begun to realize that music is all about your partners. Whether its my man Stan on drums or Ward on Guitar, Rilez on Bass, or Harry on keys, its all about being one with their sounds! Anyway, its some pretty shitty weather outside, sleating, snowing, hailing or even all that nasty stuff combined. But i'm inside, warm and happy! Makes me remember the good old days of going outside and having a snowball fight til my toes felt like they were gonna fall off, and then coming inside and warming my extremities on the woodstove til they were on fire. So I'm not really sure what ive been talking about this whole time, but i'm sure its been incredibly intuitive and charming. I hope to see you all sometime after warming your veins with the music that we play, and giving u all hugs after it all ends. Peace!

Hey there WWG Ghouls!
Tired of waking up at the wee hours on Mondays with nothing to look forward to but a crummy pot of coffee and half a bagel? Does your orange juice taste terrible because you're an idiot and accidently brushed your teeth before sitting down for your morning feast? Lucky charms just not lucky lately? Well have we got a treat for you!
WWG are going to be starting a new weekly blog just for ya'll! It's going to be a special time where we can share our happy-time-clap!-clap! moments and sugary excitement from the past week/weekend adventures. And it's going to be posted every "Munday" morning at 8 AM so you can get all smiley-like before you start your week!
A different member will be posting every week- This should be a great opportunity for you to get to know us all and our quirky personalities. So prepare for a juicy minute of reflection, wonderment, and total awesomeness. Proper punctuation is not required... And in fact really isn't recommended!
I guess since I'm already here I'll start this week's- but I'll try to make it short and sweet so you're not late for school/work. My name is Rilez and I'm the bass player of the band. I also do a little singing, so I guess you can pretty much say I'm the lead singer and leader of the band. Don't listen to what anyone else says, 'cause I'm like totally the hottest and I have the most smoochable biceps.
The Band has been hard at work the past couple of weeks recording our new songs, preparing them for battle in Myspace land, and building cakes. This week we built 12 cakes, 3 pies, and 47 cookies. Pretty impressive eh? In addition to the cakes, we've been writing and re-writing the most silly Band Bio's, assembling our influences, and calling on the Ultimate Bio-Influence Auto-Mega Droid. This droid, together with our songs and our cakes, will give us the strength needed to overtake the evil Lord Zenu. You don't even wanna know about him, mayne.
Probably the sweetest thing that happened in WWG land was this sick dress up party that the Band went to. The best part about it was we didn't know it was a dress-up party, so we looked like hobos. I think they thought we were thugs. It was so fetch. Then this kid called "Sweat" was all like "Vas up BITCHES!" and then they were like "Ish don't tink so!" It was wicked sweet. We made Stan carry everything. Then we went to this other party that wasn't dress-up, and it was equally fun. I ate two (2) pieces of bread on the way. They were plain and not very good, and I said to myself "I probably should have grabbed a cake or two..." as I choked down the dry whole-wheat morsel. At the end of the night we went our separate ways, but not without a big group cuddle-hug!
Anywho, I guess I'd better wrap this up. As promised, we are going to have a WHOLE NEW song up this Sunday, so check back then for it. The next two Sundays should also see a song each, for a total of FOUR songs! Yay! We'll be introducing cool new stuff for ya'll to gobble up as well, so you best check yo'self son! And check here too... Wait what's that smell... Oh no the cakes are burning!
