Wesley was originally founded in May of 2006 by band members Joe Stasio, Andrew Roibal, and Danny Lammi. It was an evolution of their previous band, The Simple Luxurious, which had not lived up to its members expectations.

They abandoned the project and set out for something with a more complex musical structure, rhythm base, and a deeper meaning.

In the coming weeks, they searched for a bass player to fill the open spot. Chris Grzan was their perfect solution. Although he had never played bass before, he had a heavy background in guitar and filled the spot as if he'd been playing the bass for years. With the line-up complete, Wesley made the decision that they would base all of their music upon a character (Wesley) that goes through his life just as the rest of us do. The music would encompass a series of scenarios and in some cases tell a story revolving around wesley.

After they recorded their debut EP, Success is the Best Revenge, they became fairly popular in their hometown of South Plainfield. However, in late August of 2007, Joe and Andrew departed for college, which proved a major setback for the band. Eventually, Danny, with the demand of his other band and full time job, decided to leave the band. Since then, Wesley has continued to write music and began to search for a new drummer, but to no avail.

At the end of the '06-'07 school year, they decided that they should start getting Wesley in gear. Although they lack a drummer, they started to record their full length album, The Coming End, and are looking to release it in late December, 2007. Merry Christmas.
