WAR FOR PEACE (est.1997) is an original metal band from the east coast. WAR FOR PEACE takes it to the extreme with original songs of their own as well as an elite setlist of obscure, detailed, and hard-hitting covers.War for Peace was formed in Mount Airy NC in the fall of 1997. From November 1997 - May 2000 "War 4 Peace" toured for 40 weeks a year as a 4 piece band with no more than a 2 week break between runs. In May of 2000 War "4" peace became a 3 piece and took a 1 year leave of absence from the road. In 2001 the remaining members started writing material which would be the beginning of the WAR FOR PEACE catalog. From the summer of 2001 to the present, War for Peace has been recording and performing as a hard working, fully functional power trio. WAR FOR PEACE has performed in 13 different states, in many different venues including the largest night club in the United States- Club LaVela(Panama City, FL), 3rd Rock(Superior, WI), Scooch's(Roanoke, VA), The Rock Pile(Denver, Colorado), Planet Rock(Jacksonville,NC), Planet Rock(Battle Creek, MI), Pepper's(Kalamazoo, MI), The Alpine Lounge(Grand Rapids, MI), Peanuts(Fort Wayne IN) Kicks(Gilette,WY), Dirty Harry's(Key West FL), The Cleaners Club(Lynchburg VA), Champions(Janesville, WI), Cahoots(Grand Junction, CO), The Cabstand (Albany,GA),Ten Bells Lounge (Grand Rapids, MI) Boondock's Tavern (Whitehall, MI) The Backdoor Bar (Holland, MI) Etc...
