Walking Bicycles was founded in the Pacific Northwest in 2004 by members Jocelyn Summers (vocals) and Julius Moriarty (guitar). Their first record, a six-song self-titled EP of dark and peculiar music was released in 2005. Shortly after they moved to Chicago adding Jason Leatherâs frenzied bass, further defining their distinct sound. Walking Bicycles recorded two albums (Disconnected, 2006 and ¿Go?, 2009), they toured nationally and built a dedicated local audience. In early 2012, they began writing their fourth release, adding longtime friend Deric Criss, marrying his bombastic drumming to their "Dynamic, genre defying act.â - SPIN.
Their upcoming full-length is due out later this year on the bandâs owned and operated label, Highwheel Records, which has released albums from Airiel, Unicycle Loves You and My Gold Mask, to name a few.
