Vital Fear was made after the band "Opposite Interference", Jay Brook and Josh Brook were apart of Opposite Interference from 2004 to 2006. Opposite Interference ended in June of 2006 due to other members leaving the band caused by personal reasons. Vital Fear was suppose to be a solo project for Jay Brook but Jay and Josh Brook decided the band would be Vital Fear and they had a few practices with Jay as the guitarist and Josh as the drummer. Josh inspired by the drummer of Kopecky and purchased his drumset. Searching over time they found Brandon Vankoningsveld as the bassist but though they went through many singers. Vital Fear released a two song demo in July of 2007 and unofficial five song demo in January of 2008 both were home recorded. They played at The Rave in Milwaukee for Battle of the Bands on July 14, 2007 and January 19, 2008 coming in second place both times. With high hopes that someone may hear their music and found what they were looking for. Vital Fear lost their singer, they kept practicing and making songs as they could but they found a singer and started up playing gigs such as Auctioneer's Inn Pub and Restaurant in Kansasville, Wisconsin and DMZ's Bar and Grill in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Soon after things went south with the singer and Vital Fear had to take a break. The first singer of Vital Fear returned to the band but was unmotivated to do anything with the band once again. The rest of the band carried on to record their first studio recording "Live Another Day."

Now… Vital Fear has a set plan of songs to be recorded. Though there is no singer Jay Brook took up the job as the singer. For More Details read Vital Fear's Blog…
