Forming in the winter of 2004, Vigilance was solidified and ready to wreck ball-breaking havoc across Central New York. Vigilance is a metalcore band with heavy thrash and death influences. Sludgy breakdowns, blugeoning blastbeats, beckoning two-step parts and searing leads are what comprise the majority of their music. Since their inception, Vigilance has played numerous places all over CNY including Rochester, Syracuse, Auburn (duh), Seneca Falls, Dundee, Morvavia and Fulton.
In the spring of 2005 Vigilance recorded some songs at FLCC to be put on a 4 song demo, which is still being sold as of now. Soon, though, Vigilance will return to the studio to record something (EP, Full-length, who knows) which much highly quality. So get your first edition demos while they last!
Vigilance, who's members include Brian Bench on bass, Chris Calandro on rhythm guitar, Tim Cuffe on vocals, David Hadley on drums and Shaun Secaur on lead guitar, have enjoyed greatly playing shows and making GREAT friends with such bands as SPAZM, The Horror Apparatus, and xEnough is Enoughx and hope to continue reaching out to more fans and friends. Vigilance has shared the stage with such big names as If Hope Dies, Angels Beneath Me, Byzantine, Screams of Erida, Hand to Hand, CDC, Seventh Star, Nehemiah, Wings of Scarlet, and Freya.
