WELCOME TO THE BEGINNING OF THE COSMOALTERNATIVE MOVEMENT. VEYDA is the two-man band of Silvie Celiz and Jesse Wight, two parallel individuals who share the common purpose of creating music for the soul.

Fate brought them together at a small concert in Los Angeles in early 2003, when, after a series of meetings Jesse and Silvie knew they wanted to make music collectively. They began to define their sound as a powerful melodic mixture of alternative rock rhythms, haunting vocal harmonies and soul driven affirmations. Some of the bands most prevalent influences include the sounds of U2, Coldplay, Nirvana, The Beatles and music from the 80s.

The lyrics command attention: songs like Violet Flames and 3D, "expose the possibility of social evolution through the use of our mind's eye reaching new levels of awareness within ourselves. To basicly develop the power that we innately possess in union with the world around us to create reality" says guitarist and producer Jesse Wight. Songs like Believe and Sunday, however, fall on a more personal note addressing growth thru suffering and unification of one self; while "Life as you know" asks you to take a closer look at life beyond the material and the importance of letting go.

VEYDA has evolved slowly out of a need to express what the band observed in life from societal, to relationship and internal conflicts rooted in a lack of information about the true nature of human beings, our purpose on Earth and the processes that either help or hinder our evolution in this third dimension.

I guess you could say VEYDA is here to help create consciousness at a critical time of accelerated change and confusion on this planet. But that would be too complicated. The truth is VEYDA is here to rock your soul into a higher plane of existence. So listen, if you choose to. And dont say I never told you so.
