Despite their short time together, Columbuss Varian has fine tuned a sound built under thunderous post-hardcore energy and thoughtful lyrics. The four members singer and guitarist James Scott, guitarist Tom Sharkey, drummer Andy House and bassist Mike Asher formed the band in September of 2005. Influences like Thrice, The Mars Volta, Radiohead and The Deftones seep from the fresh melodic flair and experimental sound that Varian has built.
Onstage, Varian embraces their raw energy and delivers an emotional and exciting performance that audiences thirst for. And although you might catch yourself gazing at these striking musicians, its the fact that their looks are coupled with talent that keeps you wanting more.
