Valeyra is a band straight from the south. With killer guitar riffs, precision drumming, and vocals that go from being melodic to in your face. In an industry where sounding Southern is in. these boys produce the sound naturally. Practicing in a barn in Brock, Texas with a population of 400. Theyre not trying to sound southern, they are southern. Valeyra started back in 2004 with Guitarist Colton Hull and Drummer Ryan McWhorter. They went through a few line up changes before finding Guitarist Rowdy Pope and Vocalist Aaron Allen in 2005. Shortly after the new additions the band started getting serious about touring and through connections of friends they found themselves on a full US tour in the summer of 2006 with Secret Lives Of The Freemasons and Glory of This. Where the name Valeyra started spreading through out the states. Unsigned and without a booking agent the band found themselves on the touring circuit quite often. Including a 12 day appearance on the 2006 Vans Warped Tour The band took 3 months off and the end of 2006 to start writing a full-length album. In February 2007 the band went to Atlanta to record with Producer Russ.T Cobb (Sevendust, Avril Lavigne, Bowling for Soup, Etc) So with the full length done the boys headed back out on tour where their name continued to grow. After doing over 100 dates in 2007, Valeyra continued pushing forward without a label or a booking agent. Landing themselves on a 39 date tour with The Sleeping, A Day To Remember, Envy on the Coast, and I Am The Avalanche. After the tour the boys headed home but not before getting added to the 2007 Saints and Sinners Festival being headlined by Glassjaw. Valeyra is Currently Unsigned and Looking for a good label family. And will be continuing to Turn Heads in 2008.
