Upset Victory is a rock/indie group from the Seattle area, bringing a sound that's familiar enough to love right away, but new enough that you want to hear it again and again! The unique sound comes in large part from the band's commitment to interesting and prevalent vocal harmonies. But even underneath the vocals are further harmonies and catchy interplays between instruments, and driving drum and guitar lines that will make you want to get up and dance! Finally, the lyrics are full of passion and honesty; these are words that will stick in your head - However, while the passion of each member is to make great music and share it, the band is also about having fun, being real, and getting to know you!
The members of Upset Victory grew up in rural towns southeast of downtown and earned their wings in groups such as the Vicious Plenties and Some By Sea. Though these bands certainly influenced the early sound of Upset Victory, it is difficult to describe the current sound. In fact, listeners of recorded and live songs by the band have generated very diverse comparisons: from Goodness and Lazy Susan, to REM or Radiohead, to even Aaron Sprinkle or Low.
