In the fall 2005, a group of friends met in a garage acting like complete idiots on instruments, banging on chairs, drums, guitars and what ever else they could find. In the winter of 2005 the group of friends became serious about starting a metal band, the line up included John White on vocals, Shawn Miller on lead guitar, Shawn Brown on guitar, Josh Fisers on bass and Hiram Hernandez on drums. In the outcome thanks to a friend Underground Treehouse was formed with the intention to have fun, play shows, record, and just be a metal band that wasnt like any other. With no need for gimmicks or attention, the band soon made an uprising when they recorded their 3 song demo "Dirty Dancing '06". Soon after the band landed their first show with Dead to Fall (victory records). The show became a turning point for the band. Soon after the band started playing shows all over Virginia from Fredricksburg down to North Carolina with such bands as:

Bury Your Dead, First Blood, Full Blown Chaos, Dead To Fall, Suicide Silence, Ion Dissonance, Animosity, Despised Icon, Remembering Never, Since The Flood, The Warriors, Too Pure To Die, Stick To Your Guns, The Burning Season, Bloody Sunday, Bloodlined Calligraphy, See You Next Tuesday and a lot more!!!

Launching the band into the local Virginia Beach metal scene that has treated them so well. Avoiding the common style of metalcore, death metal and grind bands of today, Underground Treehouse or UT, has taken an approach less used by some bands. Which is not to be rock star status or so emotional but just for people to have fun and enjoy the music without being so up in arms about names or how a certain style is done.

In the spring of 2006 after already losing their bassist Josh Fisers on mutual terms, the band then dropped their drummer Hiram due to member difficulty but not til they recorded their new demo, "Underground Treehouse '06" which included a few of their old and new tracks. The Band soon progressed and picked up their new drummer Drew Holland who had instant chemistry with the band once they were introduced.

Underground Treehouse is still playing shows and still going stronger than ever even though the recent doubts of some in their hometown of Newport News, Va. UT plans to prove those wrong who ever said they would never amount to anything. Be sure to be on the lookout for Underground Treehouse in the near future.
