Upon first glance, Mark Underdown resembles Peter Pan with an unhealthy obsession for slot machines. He has a mischievious glint in his eye when asked about the band. His response - "Underdown is like a Never Neverland statement to anyone who ever told us to get a 'proper' job". However, with an average age of 24, Mark and his rag tag band of comrades are anything but lost boys.

Primarily unified through dodging adulthood, Underdown became a solid unit in the relatively icy climes of Glasgow, Scotland, in 2002. It wasnt long before they relocated to a small town in the country near Bristol. First came a management deal with local company 'Engage Media'. Second was a short North American tour, and most recently, a Record contract with local label 'Bed+Breakfast Records'. Along the way, many have fallen under their spell.

Underdown is a contradiction, a schizophrenic reaction to everything it hears; 50% Carefully Calculated and Precise, 50% Unpredictable,Magical and Breathtaking. Underdown is an unstoppable juggernaut capable of smashing any preconceptions of what people have come to expect from modern music.

2006 looks set to be an exciting year for the band. With a uk tour and a single on the agenda, the chances of growing up soon, look slim.
