In the town of St. Augustine, one high school student lives to praise God through his music. Troy Jordana, who got his first guitar on his 8th birthday has always had a desire to share his music with others. He's a great songwriter who is influenced by a variety of musicians. Bands such as Flyleaf, Paramore, Linkin Park, (as well as many others) and solo artists such as Jason Gray and Owl City have influenced Troy to make the music that he does.

As a part of the band Daybreak (www.myspace.com/daybreakcentral), Troy has put his solo project as a second priority. However, because he feels influenced by such a variety of bands, he writes many different types of music. His acoustic based songs provide for a likable, easy-going feel. This acoustic start allows for many filling parts to follow. The electric guitar parts offer catchy melodies and harmonies that both stand out to the listener and yet blend in with the music. Bass guitar and drums are the foundation and drive the music forward. Troy makes each song full by using whichever instruments necessary to do so.

In his former band (Mid-Tide Surge) as well as his current band (Daybreak), Troy has vocal experience. His vocal melodies are what creates each song into a rythymic and catchy tune. He sums up his vocals the best. "I may sing a little flat, or I may sound a little dull, but I'm singing for what I believe in, and that's what matters to God." His harmonies provide strength to his melodies and fill the song with a push of energy.

Lyrically, Troy has been majorly influenced by the solo artist Jason Gray. Jason's flat and straightforward lyrics give a direct interpretation of what life is really about. Troy's lyrics are unique and usually come right from his daily life. He puts less emphasis on his lyrics and more on his music, but always sings to praise God.

The future is unknown, but there is no limit. Troy's goal is to praise God and there is never an end to that. His music is a God given talent and all he can do is praise Him for it.
