Recap of TR's 2007
So another year has passed and this next one is sure to just go by as quick. So let's take a trip down the memory lane for what was 2007 for us.
March we got our record contract and started recording A Legacy Between which was finished in May sometime. We went from playing about forty five shows a year to one hundred and twenty two. TR embarked on our first tour which also took place in March. We toured again in June and our cd release tour (Feed Just One Tour) in September and October. With one more tour in December. So from never being on tour to going out on the road four separate times in one year was quite a bit for us.
We got the chance to play such festivals as Spirit West Coast, Joshua Fest and Cornerstone California. We were granted the privilege to share the stage with bands such as: Underoath, Mxpx, Anberlin, Demon Hunter, Thousand Foot Krutch, Dizmas, Red, Hawk Nelson, Leeland, Seventh Day Slumber, Family Force 5, Emery and so many more that are worth mentioning but I need to stop writing or all you'll be doing will be reading off band names.
A Legacy Between was released on August Twenty Eighth in stores and online nation wide. Our first radio single was released on July 30th and has been charting for fourteen straight weeks while making it up to number seventeen. Our second radio single will be released later this month of January. But that doesn't count for last year because we are in a different year. We just wanted to mention that.
Around the middle of August TR purchases a tour bus/shuttle. We bought a 22 passenger city shuttle that we have now converted to our wonderful tour bus. We call it a bus because it's quicker to say that than shuttle. There is still work to be done on our bus but we are always working hard to make it a better home away from home for us.
While on tour we have meet some amazing people. We've been able to pray with people, talk, share stories and laugh with so many of you. Even engage in some good old shoe fling! God has certainly changed our lives through our encounters with all of you.
Our amazingly stylish guitar player Sam got engaged to girlfriend Veronica. They will be married this coming year, which leaves only our bassist Andrew the only non married or engaged person. No pressure Andrew! To end the year we had the chance to play an amazing show in Albuquerque New Mexico on New Years Eve, where we got to ring in the new year with our friends at the radio station M88. To all of you who came to that thank you! What a way to finish such an amazing year for us.
2008 will bring so much more for all of us. This year, may you be open to all possibilities for you your family and friends. May God take control of your life, humble you and build up to be a light for such a dark world that we live in.
Cheers to 2007 and being a year closer to our Lord Jesus Christ returning. Look for us on tour and online everywhere in 2008. Keep the prayer requests, conversations and discussions coming!
