September 24th 2008 - Just finished "convex, concave". It's my take on animal collective, panda bear - ish type music. It's something to sink your teeth into. ENJOY
-------
September 17th 2008 - just posted "gimme traction". the title is a clever homage to one of my favorite bands, spoon (gimme fiction). I tried out some new things for this song like distorted drums and fuzz bass - they were fun to play around with. also i used a man-boy choir - aka 10th floor of towers. thanks guys!
enjoy the song!
July 15th 2008 - just posted "Awake for Days". Enjoy this explosive ambient song. I ditched the traditional tone kid song structure and went for something a little more free form. I think it flows well though.
main influences: bon iver, sigar ros, and radiohead. (but not as good - haha)
----------------------------------
June 23rd 2008 - Finished "High Fives" today.. Really cool song. Main influences are Destroyer and Spoon. ENJOY!
PS - I'm really excited for the show on the 9th of july!
--------
June 1st 2008 - Just got done with practicing with the band for the 4th time ever. We haven't played yet with John in the band, but we can't wait for him to join. We got a show booked july 9th at the warehouse, it will be so fun! The songs are so fun to play and sound great live.
MAY 9TH 2008 - This one's called San Andreas. I went to san francisco a week ago and learned that the san andreas fault line is supposed to yield a massive earthquake within the next 50 years. This was hard for me to believe - so i wrote a song about it. the song is about how the people in san fran don't let fear tell them how to live. and it's an testament to how everybody should live life - we all have our own san andreas faults underneath us - so nobody should let fear guide them... ENJOY!
MAY 8th 2008 - For some reason "EVER" was bumped off of the main page............. just keep in mind that it will be on the album.
---
May 7th 2008 - I just added "SUPERFICIALLY" to the page. I bet you haven't heard harmonica and techno at the same time? Haha. Well, i think it's a pretty cool song. I did all of the drum programming this time (instead of loops). This was a really fun one to do. Charlie soldner makes a cameo in the beginning and middle of the song ("I DONT WANT TO" - his response to "hey charlie, make a cool noise for the song") and ("AHHHH" - his response to brose threatening him lol). Thanks to ben and brose again for letting me use their dorm. And major props to andrew brose especially for co-writing the chorus, and letting me use his harmonica in C!
------------------------------
April 30th 2008 - I just added "King Tone (Album version)" to the page. This song was originally a ring tone. Part of the ring tone can be heard in the beginning. This song is the intro song to my CD, and bridges into jaguar album version if you play it on a playlist on itunes or whatever. It was really fun to make because of all of the random vocal layers with all of the various effects. ENJOY!
---------------------
APRIL 13TH 2008 - I just added "spring break down" - enjoy! This songs recording is sloppy at best I know, but it will be sweet live trust me! I might re record it this summer if I so choose...
------------------------------
April 3rd 2008 - I just added "Ever" to the page. Enjoy this straight laced dose of rock!
March 7th 2008 - I just added Separation Anxiety to the page. I'm really digging this song. It starts off slow, but it picks up momentum and explodes into a rockin song (don't give up on it after a minute). I recorded it with Logan McCarville's guitar, and Andrew Brose's mac book (garage band). Mad props to Ben Harris and Andrew Brose for letting me use their dorm room as a recording studio and mad props to Logan McCarville for letting me take his awesome guitar for hours without much notice!
--------
January 28th 2008 - I just added the song Jaguar to the page. I finished the song yesterday, and I am happy how it turned out. I wrote the background music on finale, put the drums in with acid, and recorded the vocals with garage band. Enjoy!
