At it's best, music is something universal, something relatable to anyone. It represents everyone, from the pessemists to the optimists, from the cynics and true believers. Tommy Knox isn't a musician who is here to sing AT the people or sing TO the people, he's here to sing FOR the people. The people who cry and bleed, the people who cheer and succeed. Anyone and everyone. To the tune of 1.5 million views on youtube and thousands of fans all over the world he has brought this uncomprimising honesty. From the smallest dive bar stage to opening for Wyclef Jean he has remained himself and his beliefs are unchanged. His music is ready to be released to the world and with the power of the industry...he can bring up the unrepresented common of this world. This is his time to be and your time to see how artistic honesty and integrity can lift us all up with him!

Tommy Knox has played in and out of many bands. Finding that it's a rarity to find people with the drive to succeed in the industry. "I've played with so many people that would say they wanted it, but they're actions and lack of effort spoke louder than their words." Tommy is a tireless worker when it comes to music. "I absolutely know this is why I'm here, so I spend every opportunity trying to push myself forward towards my goals." He decided after many half-hearted bands, to pursue music as a solo singer/songwriter. This has proved to be the right decision.as his ability to churn out emotional and empathetic songs grew immediately. It's just him and his lovely girl, his guitar "Shawntay." He jokes, "Shawntay and I are all that I have in the pursuit of this boundless dream. She's never let me down."

Tommy's unbelievably open musical mind has lead him to pull from a variety of influences. From Stevie Ray Vaughan to Jack Johnson. From Nickelback to John Mayer. He molds these influences together to create a style uniquely his own. Driven by emotional problems like anxiety and depression...experiences like the brutal divorce of his parents and the deaths of close family members...he sings what most people are thinking. The things they are afraid to say because they feel alone. He sings so that his listeneres will never feel alone...that is why he's here...to be there for them...and to feel the support himself. To find kindred spirits who can share their fears and he can share his. "I don't want to be the musical escapist. The guy singing about material and superficial things to distract you from your problems. I want to be real and help people face their darkest fears and overcome them."

Tommy Knox has accomplished so much on his own without the help of management or any representation. Theirs no limit to what he can do when he finds the right fit. The right people who want to help him get his message out to millions. On his own he's already turned himself into a veritable YouTube celebrity! Performing everything from original music to crazy renditions of today's most popular songs. The proof of this success is the 1.5 million times his music has been seen by youtubers all over the world. The fact that Wyclef Jean sought out Tommy after seeing one of his videos and asked him to come play a show with him. The fact that Tommy's music has been featured on sportsillustrated.com as well as by Grant Wilson and Jason Hawes from SciFi channel's hit show "Ghost Hunters." Thousands and thousands of people are playing his songs in their ipods as we speak. This all from Tommy's efforts alone....on the computer all hours of the night, plugging away, promoting, and performing. It's amazing to think of what could be done with even the slightest backing or support. The world's becoming smaller to Tommy everyday and with good help he'll be a worldwide household name.

Tommy Knox is finding his people the best way he knows how...through honest music that everyone can relate to. And people are relating to him more and more everyday. The future looks bright for the young 27-year-old. Working on his craft and spreading his word in more effective ways while word spreads of his hard work and talent. "I keep my fingers crossed all the time and think, 'it's only a matter of time'" No need for the crossed fingers...cause with Tommy's unrelenting pursuit of his dream...it IS only a matter of time.
