Addiction

I am weary and burdened from this battlefield called Life.
Everyday I wallow through the anguish and strife,
From the sin that marks me like a knife.
It cuts so deep, but pleasure numbs the pain.
Until I find myself alone, bleeding in the rain.
And I remember this sin, motivared by selfish gain,
Will only make you lose!
It seems great at first, a small cut or maybe a bruise.
You think its worth it, it seems so great!
But slowly overtime your heart is filled with hate.
It doesn't happen quickly or you might be quick to run!
But a while later you'll look back and see,
What a very long distance it is from point A to point B.
It's not worth it my friends...
Believe me when I say this is true!
I've struggled with addiction, both my feet, one in each shoe!
You know the pain... but what about the hope?
You feel the stain... but whats this of a rope?
There is a Love that overcomes all fears!
There is no sin that will make him disappear.
He's Alive! He's Alive! He's Alive in me!
He really does care about your heart knees,
Your lost car keys,
Your date for prom,
Your dying Mom,
Your Daddy's heart,
Your love for art!
I promise if you just seek him you will find!
He is waiting for you and he is very kind.
Put your hope in Jesus Christ and you can never lose.
For he is the way, the truth, and the life.
He is the greatest choice you could ever choose...

I have put this together to share some of my songs with the world.
I'm hoping that I can one day put together a CD with some of these songs, hopefully I'll have real recording equipment by then! I hope you enjoy these and the ones to come.
