What is Tim Phillips & Friends??????? Well it's one rad band is what I (Tim) say!!!! The "Tim Phillips" portion of the name is pretty self explanatory. The "&"....well thats a squiggly line that means "and". The "Friends" portion of the name is for all my friends who either play with me, help me out with this musical endeavor, people who have inspired me whether musically or lyrically, and just over all, it's for my friends, who I love and who have always been there for me.
I started this back in 2005. My first show was at the famous Ridglea Theater with my friends Third & Main. After that it only went up from there. I started playing pretty big shows with pretty big bands as far as the "local scene" goes, such as Third & Main, Waiting For Dawn, Matthew James, In Fair Verona, The Knockout Kings, The Flipside, The Frontier Brothers, Iris, etc, etc.
I had taken a brake for awhile became frontman for a couple unmentional bands that are now disbanded. In January 2007, however Tim Phillips & Friends was reborn. If all goes acording to plan, and Solo Acoustic EP will be released in April and a Full Band LP will be released in July and a Southern United States tour will begin in the fall.
