Something new is here
The last year has been a period of creative growth for the Boston-based rock quintet, TIDES. Summer 2007 is the culmination of three years of tireless creative effort and yields the release of their dynamic second EP, Waiting for the Day. Their clean style, energetic live show and pitch-perfect harmonies have attracted larger audiences earning them a stage with national acts, local radio play, and a legion of dedicated fans.
College friends and long time collaborators, the guys of TIDES turn a corner this year with the release Waiting For the Day. The new album, recorded with major-label rock producer Kato Khandawala (credited on Breaking Benjamin, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Paramore), distills and refines the band's catchy hook driven melodies and speeds up their sound with a powerful driving beat. The new album elevates TIDES' fresh rock/pop songwriting, and captures the energy of the band's stage show: killer songs, driving guitars, deep driving rhythms and genuine emotion.
Waiting for the Day establishes TIDES as a band that has digested the influences of U2, Coldplay, The Police and Radiohead to synthesize a mature individual sound that is all their own. This is rock music meant to be played loud, and sung even louder.
