Portland, Oregon's Thunderball Fist kick it out their own way, while progressing in rock song structures. Where screamy falsettos sing along to classical piano hooks, over hi-hat rhythms. Bass grinds and the heavy intensifies. Inventive hammers down on sweeping layers. Dance to the driving rawness. This is the dance. This is the beat. You can move, you can be moved.

"We want to do what is us. It's not about being in style, or fitting a genre. We feel that if we are doing what comes out of us as individuals, then it will create a sound that is just that - Us."

Joe Mendonca and Michael Pettis developed their chemistry, in the early beginnings of Fall 2000. Soon after meeting at a local concert, the two began long garage jams, performing in bands together, and home studio recordings. Over the years, their sound evolved into what is now Thunderball Fist.

"I couldn't be more thankful for the way I was raised. It's a huge part of the way I am," says Mendonca. "I think a lot of that influences Thunderball Fist. It's not about the popular choice. It's not about what everyone else thinks works. How is that living?"
