WE ARE NOW CALLED Cemetery Drive.

Officially formed on 26th June 2004, three individuals from Woking, Surrey, (just South of London), came together to form a band now known as Cemetery Drive. Duncan, on guitar/vocals, Salvio, on drums/backing vocals/throat, and Kyle, on bass/backing vocals/throat, have all developed over the year from being together as musicians, and can be heard through the level of maturity in which their music has become. Originally formed as a Pop Punk band in the shadows of Blink 182, the trio begun to explore more into the world of music, and have coincidently started to acquire a taste for Emo music. They eventually decided that it was time for them to take a step further in their work, and to see what they could develop in this area of music, (which they had seen as a more melodic movement), to create a sound known to them as Emo/Pop Punk, now influenced by bands such as: Blink 182, My Chemical Romance, and Senses Fail. Lyrically and musically Cemetery Drive’s sound can be heard as a more mature and melodic one since they decided to change. From the guitar riffs, to the fast to slow drumming, to the variety of bass lines, the trio’s sound can be seen as a step into adult hood, and a step to show how serious they are with what they love to do.

Their new movement has been seen as a rather favourable one by the existing fans they have, and have now been able to gain more fans more easily than before, and are now being re-asked to play at the venues they play at. The fun hasn’t stopped there for the trio! Cemetery Drive has had the pleasure of being asked by local fans in the small town of Arcadia, California (United States of America), to come out and play some shows in the area, where a young fan has started a fan club for the band on the Myspace© website where all fans can join, leave comments, and use the service as a chat line to talk to other fans and to the band themselves. The three have also been asked by a growing band within the US, known as The Broken, on tour around the Colorado area in the near future. Then come the smallest of things which have counted towards the bands success, such as recently being asked to join 2bmates.com© bandspace.com© thesoundtable.com© and to join the line up for a festival in Swindon. The band have also had the pleasure in the recent finding of their new manager, (and promoter within the Reading, Berkshire area); Donna Huxley, and promoter within the London area; Maz, (also director of 2bmates.com©).

Their success hasn’t stopped there. Just recently, on the 8th July 2005, the band came 3rd in their first local competition in a Battle of the Bands, held at their favourite venue, The Christ Church (Woking), where the competition became tough, having to play against some of the best, well known local bands such as; Korelko, Midfield, and All Forgotten, with a voting system done by the crowd. Even though it wasn’t a complete victory the guys still left with more confidents than what they went with, and feel as though it was a starting point, and a setting point for the next competition, where they have set an aim of taking 1st place. Even being asked to tour with James Bourne’s, (of Busted), new Pop Punk band, when they go on their release tour, was seen as a great pleasure by the guys.

Cemetery Drive are now at hard work with their first EP “A Revenge Tragedy” which is set for release during mid September 2005, produced and recorded by themselves in their home studio. “A Revenge Tragedy” will be out on sale within the local stores of Guildford and Camberly, including the Camberly Rock Box, at an affordable price of £6, and will include up to 10 tracks, including; Burn In North Dakota, Band Aid For A Bullet Wound, No One Else, Up There Somewhere, The End With You, So Long, and Written In Blood.

Cemetery Drive will also be doing a releasing tour in September 2004 for “A Revenge Tragedy” during September around the local area of Surrey, where a date has been confirmed to play the Camberly Agincourt, which has recently seen bands return such as: Capdown, [Spunge], Mortis, Cradle of Filth, and Sucka.
