Alex and Ryland met in 1997 in High School. Both were avid guitar players and both played in local bands with varying degrees of accolade. Alex got Ryland a job waiting tables at "Mr. Deli's Jewish Delicatessan," in Boca Raton, Florida.
/>A few years later, Alex went off to pursue a degree in the culinary arts while Ryland procured his BFA in Acting. The two lost touch for seven years.
/> Ivy League formed in August of 2005 when Ryland discovered that his old friend Alex was not only still playing music but living just ten minutes away from him in Brooklyn, NY. The duo quickly began writing songs together. They hope you enjoy their music as much as they do.

Japanese Review of "London Bridges EP":
Perhaps you think that it means SIMON & GARFUNKEL 2006. Don't you think? 3 number how fork ? ? ? ? especially. These 4 tunes are perfect. To be enormous it is the pot, enormous the taste. With EP it is method of entering the pot about "of Good day Sailing" ever since of Memphis. The album it probably will rub, immediately is. You buy this. In any case, trying hearing with under. Especially 1 and 2 numbers.
Just when you thought the Japanese couldn't get anymore adorable they go and pull a stunt like this.
"You buy this."
Some of the sentences are so abstract you can't even speak them outloud without tying your brain in a knot. Hopefully we'll get to play there soon. It'll be like that Tom Selleck movie where he goes to Japan to play baseball. Only we won't play baseball. And we won't have mustaches. Or will we?

Our two shows with the Acid House Kings and Legends were an incredible time. To see some photos and videos of these shows, visit www.whoneedsradio.com. Scroll down to the "Legends, League and Queens" link.
"London Bridges," our debut EP, has been getting some nice reviews. Namely at www.allmusic.com. Check that little nugget out!
For those of you in the New York area, come out and see us at Rockwood Music Hall(www.rockwoodmusichall.com) on July 29th at 10pm. This is the last time we will play for a little while as we are working on a super secret/mega tight project. We still don't know much about it but we know it's for some movie named "Steaks on a Plane." Now evidently, the protagonist of the film is fed up with the quality of steaks being served on his airplane. In a fit of rage, he shouts, "Thats it! I've had it with these motherfuckin' steaks on this motherfuckin' plane!!!" Now I'm not much of a movie-goer, but this film looks like it could be the the next "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes." They don't make enough food-themed action flicks these days. This shall be a refreshing experience for the whole family!
Call me,
Ryland

The weekend of July 8th will be a very exciting one as we've been given the opportunity to play with some of our favorite musicians. The Acid House Kings and The Legends. The AHK also have a release on our Miami-based label Twentyseven Records. They've been making great albums in Sweden for a decade and this is their first visit to America. In their native country they're well known and it's only a matter of time before they generate more buzz in the US. We've been told that people are travelling from afar to see these shows which also stokes me to my core. I urge everyone in the tri-state area to come and see these shows. As for Alex and I, we will be taking some time to write and record before our tentative tours in the fall. More to follow on that subject.
We got a very nice review on Fensepost.com. Check out the "features" section on his site for more info.
I miss you,
-Ryland

Outside of the passively resigned hipster's reach, tucked away in the Midtown West Nowhere resides the sweetest little venue called . You have no idea. They've got the plushest red curtains, the craziest do-whacky lights and the greenest green room north of Havana.
We played there this past Thursday, and they were kind enough to videotape the entire performance, excerpts from which you can salivate over here. We want to go back there but are afraid not many will follow; it's practically in Connecticut!
If we threw the browest bro-down with bro bands like Mia Riddle's outfit and perhaps Michael Leviton's, would you go? Yay or Nay in comments.
