In less time than it takes to make a baby, This is How Rumors Get Started has independently recorded their debut EP and toured the US and Canada. Their story began in the fall of 2005; Phillip-Michael (Vocals/Guitar) asked Annie (Bass) for a bite of pizza at a friends party and it wasn't long before the two began writing together. After a year of trading demos over the internet, the duo decided to start a band with Mike Thomas (drums) and friend Marie Kim (vocals/keys). After a brief line up change Jenny Tuite joined the band, adding her folksy songwriting to the repertoire. The Boston Quartets blend of unique boy-girl vocal melodies, interesting chord progressions, and overall musicianship makes for a sound that is impossible to ignore, let alone forget.
