This is Family is a soft and gentle look into the life of the maker and founder, Jacob Samuel Seaton. Between gradual slopes of somber and ecstatic progressions, the art and beauty of raw emotion, and a few wires, keys, and strings comes the feel and sound of this solo project.

"Music has been my main outlet since I was a boy..." says Jacob "I remember running upstairs to my room after a long day of school... and the feeling of comfort after placing those headphone overtop of my ears... to escape... to dream... I was raised in a very musical Family... it was just second nature to pick up an instrument and make a melody or a play beat... It's just what we did to pass the time."

"Since The age of twelve, I had been in bands... one after another. Some overlapping in time. I remember being in several projects all at once... It takes a lot to be in a band with more than one person... Lot's of different outlooks. In and at life and music. After my last bands break-up, Elenor... I had decided that the best way to do what you, personally, want to do... is to do it yourself. I know I will always love playing with different groups... But, with groups comes the battle between collaboration and compromise. With this project, I do not have to compromise myself or my music at all. This is just me."
