Combining an admiration for both the intricate and the expansive, Kansas City, Missouris This Alibi represents a perfect musical marriage of wide-skied atmospherics and dirt-in-your-teeth rock realism. Formed by friends and musical blood brothers Justin Callaghan and Robb Jarrett, This Alibi plays complex and exploratory rock music characterized by stringent guitar lines, an explosively precise rhythm section and a grandiose vision.

Prior to the bands inception, Callaghan and Jarrett played in an early version of This Alibi, but had yet to feel like their project was complete. Jarrett explains that, upon finding their third member, Bob Bitner, He helped strengthen the band since all three of us were going in the same direction. With him, our three-piece sounds like five; we are able to bring out our varied influences and experiment with sounds most havent considered.

After almost a year of refining their sound, This Alibi has fully arrived with the release of their demo, a four-song instrumental rush of propulsive rhythms and spacey post-hardcore experiments. This Alibi exhibits their diverse tastes and talents on the recording, as shining, Sigur Ros inspired daydreams dissolve into visceral climaxes and pummeling, Mars Volta style noise.

Its been a whirlwind adventure, but its also felt natural; for the most part, our coming together and standing has come fairly easily and quickly. Now all thats left is to get our name out there and get some recognition. With more material on the way, a fall tour beginning to take shape and a drive that cant be extinguished, This Alibi will no doubt make its presence known throughout 2006.
