The Helsinki-resident ska band The Valkyrians began performing in the year 2002 and found its audience inmediatelly. Since then the band has caused spectators to dance and shout wildly on a monthly basis in their hometown and elsewhere.
The Valkyrians´ musical inspiration stems from 60´s Jamaican ska & rocksteady, and from the British 2 Tone releases of the 70´s and 80´s. The band began playing cover tracks before starting to produce their own material. On October 2004 Semi Sounds label released The Valkyrians´ debut Miracle E.P. including 4 tracks.
