The Vaine are an energetic undefinable five-piece from Sydney's west. Featuring a line up consisting of two females (Steph and Clik) and three guys (Bee, Russ and Gavin) since early 2006 they have made their mark on the local music scene playing shows at venues like The Gaelic, The Embassy Hotel and The Manning Bar. Also opening the main stage at Homebake 2006.
With their first EP (Regrets and Hollow Threats) in circulation for a year now, and the second in post-production The Vaine continue to bring their energy and explosive music for all their global fans.
As young as The Vaine are they are nothing short of exceptionally musically talented. With the drive of these intelligent and talented teens we know they will go far.

You guys are my favorite screamo band with female vocals. Mainly because the style is unique yet exactly what'd I'd want from this kind of band, but also because of the excellent female screams to top it off. I've tried 8 songs by you guys and I'd say my favorite is Oh Oh Chontelle! (Sanctuary is the only one I don't like). Oh, and I'm sad to see Shelley go (for reasons I don't know), but I am an equal fan of Clik's vocals so I hope to hear them used more in the new tunes as well as more of the catchiness and creativity that It's a Disease had. =D May 14
