The Turning came into existence in early 2001. The band was founded around the combined vision of Matt Warren (guitars) and Jeff Goff (drums) to create songs that combined soaring melodies and aggressive pop rock with lyrics that go beyond the surface to the deeper issues of the heart. With the addition of long time friends Jacob McGinnis (vocals) and Jeremy Little (bass), the line-up for The Turning was complete. Over the past couple years, the band has split its time between playing praise and worship at several churches in the southeast and opening for a variety of regional and national acts including, Toby Mac, Audio Adrenaline, Tait, Newsong, Matthew West, Building 429, Todd Agnew, Kutless, 1000 Foot Krutch, Bleach, and Luna Halo. In 2004 the band made the commitment to pursue a music career in a more aggressive fashion and moved their lives and families to the Nashville area. With hopes to reach peoples hearts with the truth, The Turning promises great music that reaches beyond the surface into deeper questions of life and eternity. Look for some exciting new things from The Turning in 2006.
