well , now that its been a month, i think its time i put up a post about the BOTB. we didnt lose. but we didnt win. me and nick played alright, though it wasnt necessarily a sterling performance.
the sound guy messed up everything about our sound to.the monitors were balanced poorly that i couldnt hear myself unless i stood directly in front of my amplifier, and when i did, i couldnt hear nick at all. :( welcome to the world of live audio. XD
anyways, it was a great show just for the fact that it was a great experience. all the bands were rooting for each other even though you had music ranging from modern classical to hardcore to death/black metal ( dont ask me what the difference is, i dont know. :) )
on another note, me and nick have been working on writing some new material with a more rock bent. one of which is calle "josiah" whach has lots of really epic sounds, including bass/guitar doubles, some tapping, and really cool harmonizer effects that nick has. trust me, this is gonna be awesome once we get it all set to go.
another song weve been working on hasnt been completly finished but has a really cool 80's "real" metal feel, with some post-hardcore a la coheed and cambria thrown in the mix.
anyways, thats the stuff i got, catch you later.

Heres a post to let everyone what the plan is for battle of the bands. The show will have greg and nick playing all original material. So far four songs are on the playlist. As of this posting they are:
"Why she's gone."
"Understand."
"The song you love."
And one of the following songs:
"Rewind."
"My favorite graveyard."
"Grandfather padarox."
You can listen to a version of "Why she's gone" on the main page.
Look forward to it, and hopefully well see you there!
