THE SUN GETS DOWN
...consists of James Boone and Ryan Engelbert
James and Ryan have been playing music together for about 4 years now. They have been in several other bands with each other and have always found that they had a certain chemistry when it came to playing and performing music together.
The two met in early 2002 during their sophomore year of high school and have been friends and band mates ever since. Now 20, the two are in a band of their own, as they continue to develop their unique and progressive style of writing that has been complemented by many.
James and Ryan are highly influenced by many bands and musicians and so cannot attribute their sound to just one artist. They have always simply played what feels right to them, whatever it may be.
They have performed at several different gigs simply under the name "James and Ryan," but have since been going by "The Sun Gets Down". Beginning in late 2005, The Sun Gets Down has been performing weekly at many different venues in the Long Island, New York Area and have built up a strong and loyal fan base along the way.
James and Ryan are constantly performing and creating fresh material. They live and breathe music and continue to grow as musicians.
