The Summoned is an experimental death metal band based out of Chelmsford, MA that have many influences ranging from Between The Buried and Me, Death, Meshuggah, From A Second Story Window, and Necrophagist. The perfect blend of technicality intertwined with epic solo work, fast paced riffing, and jazz have allowed them to appeal to various forms of listeners. In the summer of 2008 they released their debut EP titled "Harvest" then quickly followed up with a 11 day summer tour with brother band Drive-By Bukkake. For 2009 The Summoned plans of doing another summer tour down the east coast and returning to begin recording their first full length in the fall.
