Wow! How amazing have these last four days been! We played our first ever US show in San Diego at Soma, a venue I have pretty much been waiting my whole life to play. And it was packed! We were all honestly expecting only 20 people, then we pull up outside the venue in our van and we see this long line of people and some of them (we were told) had been there since before the venues members of staff had even decided to show up for the shows preparation at 11am! Before we took to the stage we were all incredibly nervous. I, myself, had to take a short walk for some fresh air, relaxation and calm and a fabulous In N Out Burger. My, those things are HUGE! We walked onstage and the shakes I had were unbelievable. I didnt even conquer them until 4 songs in. Once we reached Oh Yeah I felt fine and ready to ROCK! The audience were fantastic. I doubt thats a show and a crowd we will ever forget!
Next were the two shows we had booked in L.A what a fun time L.A is! The coffee shops, the Mexican food, the heat! Its winter for crying out loud and I dont even need a jumper! (Thats a sweater, for all you Americans out there!) We turned up to our second L.A show at Cinespace to find a line, 5 people wide stretched right round the block. At first we were scared, then excited, then really scared. But it turned out to be our best show so far, even though most of the people that lined up never managed to get in! So far, so exciting!
