Montreals The Stills are back with a sophomore release that boldly challenges all preconceptions. Following the success of 2003s LOGIC WILL BREAK YOUR HEART the band approached their second album with a refreshed outlook and bold new take on their unique sound. First, the bands main
songwriter and drummer, Dave Hamelin, dropped his drum-sticks to share vocal & guitar duties with Tim Fletcher. Also, touring keyboardist Liam ONeil is now a permanent member, adding classic Hammond organ and lush piano to the new sound.

But line-up changes are only the beginning. Re-invigorated with a spirit of unity and camaraderie, the band took to a studio in their hometown and invited friends and fellow Canadians such as Sam Roberts, Metrics Emily Haines, and members of Broken Social Scene to plug in and feel something. The result is WITHOUT FEATHERS, a fearless album, filled with brutally honest songwriting and a big, organic rock
sound. Neil Young might have called this the ragged glory of a pop-rock band. Gone are the boys. This album has stubble.
