These power-pop stallwarts have played wonderful North American venues, headlining and opening for bands like Cracker, Tripping Daisy, The Headstones, Econoline Crush, JunkHouse, The Rheostatics, Finger Eleven, and many others.
The Sound Techies are receiving some encouraging attention of late, and have been tucked away composing/scoring and designing sound for a variety of film, television and new media placement. Possibly one of Canada's best kept thundering-guitar and song writing secrets, this energetic quartet mhas been busy:
Wooferbitch won a Canadian Gemini Award for his creatively successful tv show, Pete built a state-of-the-art studio and keeps banging out the material; Matt and Og help pull it all together collaboratively like meatball surgeons in a M.A.S.H. unit; All under the masterful post- production ear of their super-ball drummer.
The boys recently completed a full equipment and gear video/phhoto shoot under 90,000L of water. Next on the radar: Polar Bear suits, and Meat Helmets.
They are chugging away in the studio, gearing up for their upcoming self-titled album in April'09.
