THE PICTURE

Indie / Rock

"The Picture's tales of the modern world are backed by epic soundscapes and dramatic highs and lows wrapped tightly with indie ethos. Songs with the urgency of a NYC cab driver elevate the Picture's perfect-pop decadence above its contemporaries, with a complementary Britpop facade blaze that's sometimes doused with William Reid's dirty bottle of whisky." - The Pill

The Picture formed in New York City in the spring of 2004 shortly after singer/writer Robert Abel met guitarist Chris Buckle from Liverpool, England. They were soon joined by drummer Jared Vergilis, bass player Jake Siegler and keyboard player Justin Repasky. The band has recorded with two-time Grammy nominated producer Carmen Rizzo (Grant Lee Phillips, Alanis Morissette, Paul Oakenfold, Billy Corgan, etc.) and top engineer Andrew Scheps (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jay-Z, Johnny Cash, Mars Volta, etc.).

Currently the band is releasing their debut CD, "Connect", on Lovely Recordings...in the meantime, the band continues to play regionally in the northeast and the UK.
