Better Days is the new release from Winnipeg-based alt-rock act The Perms. Released on November 2005, the 11-track recording contains a mix of high-energy rock anthems and melodic power pop gems.

Its solid pop and extremely infectious from the hard-driving back-beat of Bring You Down to the chunky Lets Not Fight, or anywhere else the laser hits the disc. The Daily Press

Better Days is yet another brilliant offering from Winnipegs bursting pop-rock scene. Soulshine.com

Produced by Neil Cameron (The Watchmen, Christine Fellows) and Lloyd Peterson (The Weakerthans, Greg McPherson), the final product is what Cameron calls a blend of modern rock and a taste of Motown groove.

Their songs are loaded with hooks and powerful arrangements.

The group writes about real life experiences that are both serious and more light-hearted. Most of the album was road tested in bars from Montreal to Victoria before being laid down on the album. The result is well-crafted songs with head-turning changes and super melodic choruses.

The bands sophomore album Clark Drive was an instant hit with college radio. The discs opening track Song For D received extensive airplay in the UK and was a local favorite in Manchester.

The Perms debut album Tight Perm was paid for from money bassist Shane Smith received from breaking his leg in a freak accident at his high school. The albums first single Love at First Sight became the bands first video and propelled the band from their basement to clubs and festivals across Canada.
